Riley at One
October 14, 2007
Last week, in the humidity and rain, I had my third session with Riley and her parents. We learned that she doesn’t care for pumpkins, but isn’t bothered by rain one bit.
Here are a couple of samples we managed to get when it wasn’t raining.
Nolan
September 30, 2007
Today my wife and I took Nolan (our son, for those who don’t know that) to the Arboretum for a full blown morning of pictures. He negotiated his way up to 3 Matchbox cars if he behaved through the whole thing. I think he did great and these are some of the best pictures I have of him.
There is one I am especially proud of. See if you can guess why.

Ella
September 16, 2007
It took us a while to get Ella’s session scheduled (waiting out the heat), but it was certainly worth the wait. Ella played and smiled on cue basically anytime I asked. The only thing she asked in return was a couple of pennies to throw in the fountains around the Arboretum. Thanks to Ella and her parents for a great morning!
Here’s a few samples from that morning. Click here to see the full slideshow.
Jack Turns One
August 16, 2007
If you reach back a few months on the site you’ll find some pictures of Jackson. What a difference a few months make. To think he couldn’t walk just a few months back. I’ve already forgotten a lot of what this age was like with my son, so it’s fun to watch other kids and their parents at this age. Here are some samples of his 1-year portraits. We were at the Arboretum and Jack managed for nearly an hour before we called it quits due to the heat.
Enjoy!

Vivian
July 3, 2007
Last Sunday during a short break from the rain I met Vivian and her parents (her Dad was my roommate in college) at the Arboretum. She had been in a wedding and was promised she could play in the water in her flower girl dress as a reward for being in the wedding.
We had a good time and we managed to get out before the rain started up again - just in time to stop at Barbec’s for brunch. I can think of worse jobs.
Here are a few preview images from the session:
Sonya Renée Jewelry
July 2, 2007
I recently had the chance to do some product photography for Sonya Renée Jewelry. This is a little bit outside the norm for me, but it was a lot of fun to do and I hope to work with them again in the future. All of the jewelry is hand-made and they have been featured on Daily Candy (which my wife tells me is very cool). Here are a few of the samples. The attention to detail in these makes for great photographs.

Next up… An early look at some samples from my session with Vivian.
Brinkley
June 26, 2007
Brinkley is my son’s second cousin. When we were all in Hot Springs a few weeks ago to see family we had a short little session with Brinkley and her parents as the sun was going down. It was hot and it was getting dark quickly, but Brinkley did great! Hopefully we’ll have more time if we do it again.
Here are a couple of samples:

CeeCee
June 4, 2007
After quite a few sessions with 2 & 3 year olds it was nice to get back to the (somewhat) stationary nature of infant pictures. CeeCee held up for over 2 hours of different setups and managed to smile nearly the entire time. Any time she wasn’t smiling all we needed to do was make the sound of a whip cracking and she would break into a huge smile. Thanks to Carrie and Scott for inviting me out! Here’s a sneak preview of some favorites. Enjoy!

I’ve fallen a little behind on posting pictures from the last couple of sessions I have had. Here are a few recent favorites.

Back in Town

After a short trip to New York I am back home and will get back to emails and phone calls shortly. Here are a couple of pictures from our trip.
